This styled wedding shoot was the brain child of Holly Winter Couture. She explains that she has spent the last year creating some examples of her wedding dresses, trousers, jumpsuits, veils, etc to start showing off at wedding fairs in 2020. She picked Marlene as her muse because of her ability to pick the unexpected – classic gents’ tailoring in her case – and give it her own irrepressible and distinctly feminine edge. 🎩
2020 is also the 90th anniversary of the release of her film Morocco, in which she appeared in a top hat, bowtie and tux and, scandalously for the time, kissed another woman *on the lips*. 💋 She was irreverent, incorrigible, unapologetic and utterly original. We would get so much pleasure from styling her today.
Holly was so lucky to have early access to brand new wedding venue The Boat Shed in Porchester for this shoot. As you can see from the images above, it was truly a wonderful setting.
However not only do you need to get the setting right, the details also need to be spot on. Again that is a massive tick!
I provided some modern classic to finish off these amazing couture creations. One look was light and floaty so pearls and crystals seemed to be the obvious choice.
I thouroughly enjoyed bieng part of this shoot. Finding jewellery that suited the theme was a bit of a challenge and made me think outside the box. But thats one of the joys of these shoots
